Good luck in advance in obtaining your lincense.
Also congratulations for getting a fine piece of equipment such as the
KWM-2A, it's certainly something to look forward to!
If you can't find the original power supply at a reasonable (or
affordable)price, in a condition that you want, one option is to build a
power supply if you can gather the necessary components (hamfests, junkbox
- either yours or other hams' or you can buy the parts from vendors).
The other option is to find a Heathkit HP-23 power supply which will work
with a slight modification with the KWM-2. There are articles written
describing how to make the HP-23 work with the KWM-2. These are fairly
commonly available supplies which were mainly used to power Heathkit
transceivers.
