[Milsurplus] Correction: Taming the BC-375

I finally had time to look at some notes and
refresh my memory on setting
the BC-375 microphone audio level.
My failing memory led me to say: "7 is too much, I run 3-4."
In fact, it depends on the mike and element you use.
What I remembered was a large-element mike I tried
that did modulate the rig 100% at a setting of 3 or 4,
but it sounded bad. I am currently running
a W.E. telco carbon element, and it sounds good
with the gain at, of course, "7."
The point is: using the manual as a guide will mislead you,
often causing overmodulation, which is a source of FMing.
Mike gain setting will depend on the element you use.
Set it with a scope or a monitor receiver, not the plate meter.
