I call it the "Please, just make it all go away" syndrome; parallel to
the recent discussion of whether we are doing our relatives a favor by
leaving then all our priceless "stuff". Excellent piece from the
survivors POV.

 

It's all a matter of relativity.

 

I'll paraphrase the Evil Archaeologist from the first Indiana Jones
movie as he prepares to entomb Indie with Karen Allen (and her GLORIOUS
white satin dress): "Take this watch. It's worthless. You can buy one
for a dollar on the streets of Cairo. Bury it in the sand for 2000 years
and it becomes priceless. Who knows? Maybe in 2000 years, even YOU will
be worth something....."
