Hue .....  I bagan to suspect the facts of the article when it stated that a 
SINGLE 1700lb bomb,  detonating at 35ft  " destroyed or damaged SCORES of 
B-29's "    The dispersal and parking area for  scores of B-29's would have ran 
into the hundreds of thousands of square yards.  If the Japanese had a bomb that 
could effectively cover this sort of area with shrapnel capable of causing 
damage and destruction , a proximity fuse they might have had would have been 
the least of our worries.
