These are pretty rough numbers BUT

Delta had a recent Atlanta-Brussels-Atlanta special for $550.  If
I'm not mistaken, you get 3 fourty pound pieces of checked baggage.

By a recent experience that's $900 in freight costs.

So the moral?

Fly the world free on specials by discounting international postage
costs
