[Milsurplus] AAF radars

Hello Folks.  Anybody know if air bases in England during WWII used fixed, 
American-made radars ?  Odd question, but I've never seen anything like one of 
the fixed radar antennas on any pics of airbases.  Did they rely for this on 
the British radar system in place ?  Only radar I have actually seen pics of at 
any combat airfield was the SCR-268 or SCR-584 gunlaying radars for the AA 
guns.  Also, would it have been guys attached to Signal Corp who operated all 
radar, excepting the airborne sets, or did Arty or AAF personnel operate the 
ground units for airfields ?
