[Milsurplus] Help ID Signal Corps Crystal Tester

Does anyone recognize what must have been a small (not the rack-mount ones) 
crystal tester probably dating from the late 40's or early 50's?  115 VAC 
operated, it has a 6X5GT rectifier and a 7C5 oscillator.  One meter with a 
Zero-Operate switch.  Oscillator is set up like a TPTG.  All I have is the schematic 
sent by a guy in Sicily who is trying to ID something he once had, probably in 
order to try to find another one.  Nothing on the schematic he has by way of 
title block, and nothing about what crystal holder or frequency range it worked 
with.
