The 240 volt transformer would be a better solution but have bunch of 24/120 transformers laying around. Trivia! did you know that the ARC-38/618S1 power supplies used the raw 115/400 cycle AC input feed to a half wave doubler to develop the 250 volt B+ for the receiver and exciter stages? lot like the old hot cassie TV stuff of the fifties and early sixties. wonder if that's where Collins got the idea?
