Hi, John.
RU-16 is part of a 12-volt system, ordered for use in landing craft
and other land and/or amphib vehicles.
RU-17, a 24 volt system, is the last of the series specifically
intended to be used with a GF transmitter, GF-12.
RU-18 (12 volts) and RU-19 (24 volts) were
"stand-alone" sets, designed for multiple aircraft applications,
including liaison work.
