In your case it looked like the system worked to your advantage,
which is good. Like anything else there are good and bad to the
various methods.
The thing that concerns me is the buyers with same mind frame as the
ones who file frivolous lawsuits. They have the attitude that it's
all your fault and they are blameless. They could really cause a
problem by freezing your account.
I once sold a Mint Atari 2600 game set that I had saved from my
younger days and all went well until I received a irate email from
the buyer about wanting a refund for the games price and his shipping
charges. He accused me of about everything you think of and was very
hostile. I check things pretty carefully if possible before selling
them to be sure all is as stated.
I kept my cool and attempted to reason with him. After several
exchanges of email it was discovered he was attempting to run the
channel 3 RF signal from the game into the composite video input of
his TV. I am afraid if he could have done a charge back with Paypal
it would have caused hard feelings forever for the both of us.
