A long time ago <read brain not as good as it was so cant remember exactly 
when> I stopped in to see them when they were working on the B-24.  I 
offered equipment / parts / service to get the radioman's gear working. 
They were more than happy to have me help on other stuff but had no 
interest, at that time at least, on old working radio gear.  The weight of 
the gear was heavy and weight = fuel consumption and as we all know 
especially now, fuel=$$$.  I left with mixed feelings.  I love the effort 
to have an old warbird in the air and the only thing more exciting than 
listening to a Mil. BA set is the sound of a radial engine passing 
overhead
