Right, a quiz for the knowledgeable:
 
Guess the set from this description:
 
"It is in working condition but has had its  transmitting componants removed. 
As far as I know it was used during the war to  scramble German fighter 
planes from the Iles of White."
 
well, transmitting 'componants' removed ?, so some  form of transceiver, 
scrambling German Fighters from the "Iles of White"  ?  strange, did not 
realise 
the Lufftwaffer actually got to the Isle of Wight  but obviously a German 
Airforce set. 
 
So, some Fug set ?  some Lorenz ? or Philips  ?
 
Guessed it yet, no, well its the description of an  AR88 !!
 
Don't you just have to laugh. "That" site is worth  its weight in howlers 
like this.
