On the related thread of the TBX mic, I was looking at Rob K2WI's web site:

Nice writeup Rob!!
I now know what the name of the hand crank generator is that I've had
in my shack for the past 30 years, that's followed me around the US on
my many moves!!!
Way back when, our college radio club was moving from one place to
another, and I walked in one day when a few of the members were
dropping that beast from the ceiling onto the floor to see if they
could break the floor (kids....sigh.....). That generator was in an
old closet for years, and I guess these self-appointed idiots decided
it was time to toss it (literally too....). So, I asked if I could
have it and they thought I was nuts, but I took it home with me.
That was about 30 years ago when I had more hair on my head and hemi's
were a dang sight cheaper than they are today!!
I remember playing with the generator back then and I think I tried to
light up a flourescent bulb which, if I recollect, did in fact glow.
I did a quick google on the TBX generator, but I can't find the
current specs on the generator. Anyone know? There is no
nameplate on mine, but as I type this, I believe there's a schematic
on the inside of the top cover -- not sure.
