 What is the "M" mod? Is this the Yardly spot tuner?

The obvious match to the ATD is the ARB receiver.
Which itself had a pretty good production run, being used matched also
with the ATC/ ART-13 and ATB.

The R-26M / ARC-5 was, i believe, Navy activity modified. I have a 
manual
of instructions on performing the modification. Wouldn't it be 
interesting,
though, to actually see a supplied modification kit?
