Hi Robert,

Thanks for the gen. My mic is in the first category, five pin-holes in the 
face and four on the insert. The insert is OK but the braiding of the 
screened two core cable has broken inside the mic, so that's why I was 
getting no resistance reading.

Will add it to the collection, I've no immediate need for it as I'm flush 
with T-17s.
