You got the Japanese labeled/manufactured RT-68/GRC transceiver.
The RT-68 is a 38-54.9 MHz FM continuously tunable or 100 KHz-step channels,
operating in wide deviation FM (+/-30KHz). Power output 2 watts (LO) or
15 W (HI).
The RT-68 is a 1950's vintage radio. It's part of the GRC-7, GRC-7X, GRC-8,
GRC-8X or VRC-18 system, depending on the accessories.
They are fairly common in surplus circles, Fair Radio sales always has a
supply of these radios and accessories.
The most common power supplies for it is the PP-112 for 24 VDC input and the
PP-109, for 12 VDC input.
You'll also need to get the CX-1211 "dogbone" cable which includes the
connectors, to connect the power supply and the transceiver.
The audio connector is the standard UG-77 type. A variety of audio
components with this connector type is very common as well (handset,
headset, microphone, speaker).

Subject: [Milsurplus] Japanese little brother of R-392?
Importance: High

Hello All,

I recentely acquired a military radio off an auction.
It looks like a little brother of an R-392 but looking into the counter,
it covers 38MHz to 54Mhz and it has in/out connector and a squelch so that
it must be Japanese military AM or FM VHF transeiver (actually not a
receicer like R-392).
As you can see through the URL below, it has beautiful construction such as
turret type band selector and so on.
Considering the letters on the panel it belonged to Self Defence Forces (it
says
63-10 and half of the leter onthe panel is "Katakana" characters: in world
war ll, they never
used them).
As I don't know much about military radios except for my R-392 and R-390A,
I don't know where to start with.

Items that I'm missing are:
1. No ID tags. But "JRT-68" is found somewhere in the chassis.
2. Small knobs are missing (R-392-type konb may be fit).
3. I don't recognize what kind of connectors are used for audio/power.
4. Some of trimmer caps are smashed.
5. Some of the tubes are missing.
6. Of course I don't have any information about this beast and no manual.

As for the reson why I ask you here first, ask me off the list.
Any information would be appreciated.
