[Milsurplus] RE: Field Day

Greetings All,

        While we did not run any Milsurplus at our field day site, we
were in the middle of an Army Post. Using the post Radio Club Call Sign "
K2USA , Fort Monmouth, NJ ". During the twenty four hours of Field day we
were happy to hear stations telling us  " that there were at the Signal
school in 19XX ". It made us happy to hear from former Signal School
Students and Instructors. We ran Class 1A CW and SSB at 100 watts, into a
1000 foot Loop at 75 feet, feed with 450 Ohm latter Line to a Tuner. The
CW rig was an Old Kenwood 440 and the SSB rig was a Yaesu FT-990. we are
hoping next year to put some Good Old Collins Gear into the mix just to
keep things different. We all had fun and it brought back memories of our
time in the service. Hope to hear you all next year.
