[Milsurplus] What is Cylinder in Nems-Clarke Receiver

The object in the first picture is a blower. Possibly to keep the front end
tube cool for lower noise figure. What is the front end tube?
The object in the second picture looks to be a capacitor, possibly the
phase shift capacitor for the blower.
What is the receiver model number?
