As a totally off-topic aside:

"Needful Things" is the best Stephen King book 
that no one has ever heard of.  
The movie was a worthless disgrace
which seems to have been scripted to see just how much
potty-mouth they could jam into a given scene,
and a prime example of how Whorellywood 
can ruin a good story, but the book is excellent.
Unlike the big disappointments in the "Gunslinger" series,
the characters in "Needful Things" are fully motivated
and developed including, for once, the "bad guy."
Mr. Gaunt is right up there with Hannibal Lecter.  
I rate it four VT-4s.
