ARC-4 had a guard channel & SCR-522 didn't.  ARC-1 had guard channel
& presence musta been Navy reqm't.

Again ARC-4 was off-shelf Western Electric 233 for the 'Douglas Racer,'
read DC-3.  Name another great story

ARC-4 luck.  Was at junk meet last year & guy cones up w. biggish
dyno & asks id.  Uh, duuuh, etc. sez. I & continue debris cruise until...
ABOUT FACE!  ARC-4 12V b'god.  Went back & gave him a 5 striking a
five year occupant off my own "Earl list."
