Dave,

If you stumble across the docs, I'd like to see them.  

I did mine from someone's description 20+ years ago.  If you want to be able 
to turn the transmitter on/off from the remote, you also have to add a 12 volt 
relay, which I didn't bother with, although I have a box full of the relays 
(same as one of the ones in the transmitter).
