That airplane had funny doors, like on
a car.  I don't see how the Russians could
use their(?) parachutes.  Also, the AT-6,
(SNJ), had most of their electronics accessable
from the outside.  Maybe other fighters did.
I'm told the darn things leaked in the rain.
