Groups,
There's a guy in Lubbock, TX with two or three military radios that he needs
to get gone within the next six weeks (moving out of a storage building he
said). Pickup only. If there is anyone on the list near enough to drive, please
contact me. Radios consist of (A) a TCS-12 receiver, transmitter, shipboard
AC supply, and cables he thinks, plus a wooden crate with some spares. He
wasn't sure about the remote or antenna loading coil. (B) BC-604-DM transmitter.
And maybe (C) R-390/URR that's missing some of the tuning slugs but
otherwise complete as far as he knows.
Dollar deal is that he has $125 in the TCS stuff and wants to get that out of
it. BC-604 would be free for pickup. And I didn't get an answer to that on
the 390 before he had to hang up and go somewhere. If anyone wants it and can
go get it, I'll just give you his name and phone number and you can take it
from there. If anyone could pick it up but doesn't want it, I'll foot the bill
for the TCS (and the 390 if need be) and we'll work out what to do with it.
FWIW, the guy isn't a ham but does collect some sort of radios and is radio
literate enough to know some of the differences between the 390 and 390A.
