I finally got a manual for the GE RBD (and TCX) - sort of a weird variant of the RAX that has been causing many of us to scratch our heads. Anyway, several times in the manual is states how the set can be installed in small boats. Also, from the crystal charts, it looks like about 200 RBDs (and matching TCXs) were made.
