[Milsurplus] BC-611 to external antenna

Gents:

I am amazed at the sensitivity of my -611 during nighttime reception. A few months back I was in my front yard listening to 3885 on the built-in antenna and was able to hear quite clearly several stations around the east coast and into Michigan and Ohio from the WDC area. I'm wouldn't argue if someone told me these stations were all running power of some kind, but even still.....

BTW - Does anyone out there in cyberland know what the sensitivity spec is for the BC-611? Also, TM11-4019 - repair instructions for the BC-611 series - says that the TX output is 255 mW modulated (p 36, table XI) but the B+ batt drain is listed as 35 mA at 103.5 V for appr 36 mW nominal TX power comsumption. Which is right, if either? I'm preparing a slide presentation for the local radio club on squad radios and I'd like to compare pounds-per-Watt output for these milrads with modern HTs. Thanks.
