Mike is correct about a general lack of interest in the Korean War vintage FM
sets among the military radio collectors, although that has changed a little
bit in the past couple of years. And there once was a time (fairly recently
even) when you could literally not give the mounts away. But roughly 12-18
months ago, suddenly no one had any of them anymore. Although you might still if
you are insanely lucky find the occasional rice burner ham at a hamfest
paying someone to haul one off, in general if you need one and find one you can
expect to pay as much as you would for an FT-237 or FT-253. This happened almost
overnight. And it's the old story of I wish I had bought all I could find
when they were considered trash.
