[Milsurplus] Use of an external VFO with a BC-610 transmitter?

In USAF I've used the Meisner Signal Shifter fed straight into
one of the the BC-610 crystal sockets.   Try not to set the
oscillator on the top of the BC-610.  Gets too hot.
