If I'm not mistaken, the fifth photo shows a pair of phonograph-like motors
that appear to be driving a pair of "gear" boxes which, I suspect, "wobble"
the shaft of the two sets of differential caps back and forth. Notice the
spring-looking grounding strap on each cap. In photo 4, the grounding strap
appears to have been wound around the shaft too tightly by accident. I've
seen something like this before but it was on a radar, IIRC. Could this be
a glide slope indicator?
