The AN/GRC-7 seems more interesting (and complex) to me because it uses six *different* major units, while the AN/VRQ-3 uses two each of only two different major units.

Fair Radio had them for about $30, IIRC, in their catalog up to a couple of years ago.

I don't know why but I've always had a fondness for this series of radios.  The design engineering of these sets was state-of-the-art in the late 1940s and early 1950s.  They seem to have little collector appeal except to military vehicle fans.
