Mike ya'll - I've been using the D-10A with the R-19 or R-508 and T-363 (et
al.) on the CM-10 'sled'. The "D-10A" (A.R.C. 14482 DMX310) spex are: 25v
1.7a in, 250v 850 ma out. Is the DY-86 the same,or is it hunkier still? I
know the reg'lar ARC-5 dyno is just a tadge too puny to power the T-whatever
along with the Rx.

The /ARN-30 suggests the dyno was intended for a radio compass. Izatso?

BTW, the R-19(x) and R-508 are not necessarily the same: what occasioned the
change was that the R-19 is actually R-19(12v) and R-19(24v), which is an
invitation to disaster; so the names were changed to R-507, which at 14v
quickly became obsolete, and R-508 (the 24v version) to differentiate
between the two fil. voltages. (see TM 11-525-10, page 1 ff.)

The same was done to the tx's: T-13(14v) became T-364; T-13(24v), T-363.
Apparently the TV-10(28v) became CV-431 without there being a 14v version.
BTW, the non-A versions of the tx's use 6AQ5's; the A's use 5763's. The
main operational caveat is that the 5763's draw more filament current, which
for bench use off a h.b. p/s can be important: I built a 2amp p/s which was
inadequate for use w/ the tx's, so I had to build a 4amp as well. (tnx fer
the t-frmr to Bill Pileggi)

Additionally, the ARC-60 is an "SCR" type of designation, and mightn't mean
any particular radio component, tho the manual I have (TM 11-522) shows
R-508, CV-431, C-423, and C-1917. We all know most any of the numbers could
be different, and the lash-up still get called ARC-60 ...
