[Milsurplus] USS Ling Clough-Brengle CRA-R oscilloscope

We acquired one of these from another museum, with no info about it. Anyone know if this scope was used by the military? Period (1938) would be in line. It is a rack-mounted CRA. Uses 80 and 81 in the PS, 885 (thyratron), 2A5 and 57 tubes, plus a 906 CRT. 

Anyone have info/schematics on this? Google and Dogpile show up very little.
