Many of the R-19 A.R.C. Type 12 VHF receivers had a military nomenclature of R-508/ARC. It is part of the AN/ARC-60 UHF-AM set, which used a crystal-controlled transmitter plus UHF-to-VHF receiver converter (CV-431/AR) to feed the VHF R-508/ARC. The CV-431 got its HV from the DY-86/ARN-30 (heavier-duty version of the DM-32-A and DY-2A/ARR-2 command set dynamotors) that was on the R-508.
