Some weeks ago I posted a summary of my visit to Battleship Cove and the
Massachusetts there and puzzled a bit about the lack of transmitters. It's
obvious that some (many ?) compartments with radio and radar gear were not open
to the public. Only "Radio Central" , with its large complement of receiving
positions was viewable.
Does anyone know how the operating positions would typically have been set up?
Were there dedicated intercept positions? Would there have been an ELINT
compartment as well?
Thanks,
-John
