Are there any Political forums for veterans?
It's a much needed area; we are loosing ground.
In my city there are few veterans in local gov't
management positions; yet, we have one of the
highest concentrations of veterans in the country.
I'm rabid about giving Veterans a better deal in civilian
affairs. We should all be working to ensure Veterans
get treated better.
I understand your postion about taking it elsewhere; but,
having suggestions for other sites would help a lot. Bickering
between Veterans has led to the lowering of respect for
our service. We need to understand that we are many
individuals of differing opinions; with a common thread:
military service.
I want to maximize our impact on our society as veterans.
Sometimes, we don't agree on current events and get
pounded for different opinions.
That's one thing I love about being an American; and
more importantly, an American Veteran. We've stood up
and served; we don't need to fall into line with everything our
leaders do to be loyal citizens and veterans. When and where
we served doesn't really matter; we could have been transferred
anywhere they wanted it was out of our control as individuals.
Therefore, it's only necessary to know we served!
We are a FREE nation (although; at times makes me question
what's really going on)and that's the best we can ask for. Dialogue
is a necessary part of a true democracy. I'm really happy to be
in such a place. Just want to improve it's potential.
