[Milsurplus] KEY KY-605U

I came across a leg strap key with "KEY KY-605U  ELECTRO VOICE INC  CONTR DAAB07-76-C-0363" on the base. Is that March 1963 ?  Does anyone know some history about this key and what it was used with ? It has the newer 5 pin connector on the end. Those Velcro straps sure feel better than that that metal spring leg clamp on the older leg keys. It's very light weight.
