[Milsurplus] What models should I be looking for in a sweep
generator?

For a really nice unit, consider an HP 8601A.(Typically $100) It does not
have markers though. You can probably use something from one of the 50s or
60s kit makers (Eico or Heath) or the ready built TE makers. At the high
price end, a modern synthesized function generator is nice.
