[Milsurplus] Pentagon Limits Gear in Surplus Auctions

This seems just silly to me. Iran has had these planes for 35 years and,
obviously, has clever engineers. The only reason I can think of why they've
not done so is because of the purges of educated and technical people in
Iran by the religious fanatics in positions of power there. They have
clever engineers. The Nuclear Engineering Department at MIT had a bunch of
them, I'm told.

With original hardware in hand, they've had plenty of time to reverse
engineer anything. After all, they build ballistic missiles and, supposedly,
uranium enrichment facilities. And they are certainly not short of $$.

This strikes me as a political ploy to obvious purpose. If you can't do
anything, at least APPEAR to do SOMETHING.

FWIW,
-John
