Was reading a book the other day, sorry don't recall title and i packed it
back away for a while, but it said...

* "air over Phillipines alive with signals" from Guerilla stations and
coastwatchers
* over 100 coastwatcher stations in Phillipines
* "portable radios" used close to Japanese airfields and posts to
report to collecting stations latest intelligence. ( What radios?)
* Japanese modified civilian radios to not receive SW.
* US planned to smuggle in broadcast radios ( don't know if this was
ever done. )

Also- "Behind Enemy Lines: OSS in Burma" has photos of using unit OSS-built
radio in wood box about size of BC-1306. (This was the one text sez built
from parts from V-100 radio supplied to Nationalist Chinese forces.)
But why didn't they get the BC-1306 instead??????
