It is not a military receiver, it is ham bands only.
The vintage is early 1950s or possibly very late
1940s. A friend, K2DPA (now K2EY) and his
dad (K2DPB, SK) had one with the matching
32V-2. They had far more money than I did!

I used a one-tube (dual triode) regenerative
receiver.

BTW, they came installed in that black wrinkle
finish desk rack cabinet. The 32V series of
transmitters were of matching size, finish,
and overall appearance. Beauties, for sure!

If you are interested in it, I'd certainly NOT
inform the membership of the Collins Collector
Society of its location. You might google the
organization and see if you can get an opinion
from those folks.

The 2005-2006 edition of the "Amateur Radio
Blue Book" shows the following prices, which
are ESTIMATES for the listed conditions.

PARTS $ 64
FIXER $ 182
AVERAGE $ 287
EXCELLENT $ 480
NEAR MINT $ 702

Hi all,

Happy Easter. In the estate I've been asking about there is an
absolutely beautiful Collins 75A-2 Receiver in a desk cabinet. I know
little about ham gear, but this sure looks military. At the moment, I
can't get closer than about 8 feet to it, but was able to take a pic
with a tele lens and the panel paint looks perfect.

I'm soliciting opinions about it sale value. The radio is NOT for sale
at the moment, so please don't ask. I looked on eBay but saw no complete
sets.

Thanks very much,
-John
