[Milsurplus] Estate tubes

Hi,

I've had several queries about the tubes off list. I don't think you
quite understand the quantities involved. There are boxes and boxes of
them all over the place, scattered throughout a house, a barn, and an
attic. Each box is roughly the size of a box of Xerox paper, cut in half
horizontally to make a tray. Inside the box are scores of  the paper
tubes from the inside of toilet rolls and a tube in each one.  On a
quick look, there is no indication they are sorted, except by size (7
pin; 9 pin; octal;....)  I did not see any big transmitting tubes.

Since they are scattered all over, I have only a vague idea of how many
such boxes there are...   maybe 15 to 50 but I really don't know. There
is a tube tester, but I don't know if these have been tested. As I said
before, they are likely pulls.  I don't think the resources are
available here to sort and repackage them, although some wadded
newspaper could be put on top of the boxes and then they could likely be
shipped or mailed. I will ask.
