[Milsurplus] RE: WTB TBX-2 Case

Why are there so many of these radios floating around out there sans cases?   
Two of these sets have come my way over the years, both in the buff.   
Finally did acquire a case for the second one after considerable searching.   Do the 
cases make for nice tool boxes or something?
