Ed that is very true, but the monkey is on the A/C PIC's back PERIOD.

Over 20,000 Hrs for pay in Connies, Electra, B-720 707, 737, 747, DC-8 
50 & 60 series plus over 300 other types, models including J-2 Cubs 
through DC-2, DC-3, DC-4, DC-6, Martin 202/404, Convair 240/340/440/580, 
B-26, LB-34 Ventura, TBM, AJ1, T-33, P-51D, AT6G, Plus DC-10 and L-1011 
(not rated) plus helicopter, seaplane SES, sailplanes 375 hrs no fuel to 
worry about, 6 1/2 seasons crop dusting/spraying/seeding, 2 1/2 seasons 
firebombing, plus ditching in the Pacific on a CIA ferry trip due to the 
FAA screwing up on the ferry tank vent system. I sued the FAA and won. I 
also found out that I could not walk on water.I tried but no way Jose,
Anyway the overall fuel management is up to the PILOT IN COMMAND OR MIL 
.AIRCRAFT COMMANDER, SAME THING.
