The manual is very specific about not messing with that cap;
it's supposed to be set at some value that allows the rig
to work both with the antenna extended, for fixed operation,
and collapsed for backpack operation.  I know- that seems 
counterintuative and I don't understand it, but I have faith in 
the people who designed the rig.
