Here's a "how cud u NOT know this"

I've been bandying the term "FT243" around on & off much of my life.
Xtal holder with .5" pin spacing.  But "FT" also applies to rig
mounts & the like.  I've a gess about where it may have arisen

   F-ix-T-ure  anyone?

Then there's the 'lil metal xtal holders.  HC-6U

   Hermetically Sealed maybe?
