Someone wrote that this odd-bodkins remoted a APR-1/4 in a Hellcat.  Used
to DF enemy radar in 100-300mhz range.

Which brings up question of how u cud DF with the AT-42/APR-4 biconical
omni-directional antenna.

Don't think LPDA (log periodics) then out.  Cud 'they' have made a
U-shaped dealy to block the bi-conical from 'looking' forward
