Dave Stinson's heads-up on e-gad 220027901360 gave me pause to think the
thing looks like the PE-98 employed with the SCR-522. Had 2 output
voltages like the PE98 so's set cud run on 12 or 24vdc.
Saw fella selling a TR-1196 too. 220027899411.
Reason I've got Pete and Ben @ top of circulation is because I'm wondering
if this p/o the 2-piece (wdonzelli) Brit percursor to the SCR-522. The one
that memory sez went 100-125mcs.
I'm guessing the 'organ pipe' chassis area are plunger-tuned lines ala
post-ww2 Moto FM consumer radios. Bet there's acorn tubes hiding in there.
And sho 'nuff has 4 xtal-ctl channels (2 in pic... mebbe the
holders arc-5 craves)
And speaking of tubes, the lower-freq. painted 'g-style' things
remind me of '34-ish Majestic editions like the G-57S. Simple, neat,
but didn't catch over here
So anywho, wdonzelli also sez the Brit 100-125 was re-engineered to
the hilt here. The common butterfly-tuned front end in the BC-624,
BC-638, & BC-639 vs the 'organ pipes' sure supports that.
Aren't history's mysteries grand?
Marty
