Cool! I've always wanted a rotary spark transmitter....just for 
emergencies... :-)

Back in the 60s, I heard a Canadian ham on 40 meters using one. He 
was WAAAAAAAAY up North and I suppose the authorities couldn't get 
to him.

It didn't really sound all that bad to me...but I guess that would depend 
on your definition of "bad".

Another electro-mechanical transmitter I have always wanted to use is 
an ARC. Not manufactured by Aircraft Radio Corp.
