Okay, folks.

Now I've been watching this thread for a while and it truly breaks my
heart. Honest, it does. Especially since I had to go through the
same thing when I moved out of a house to living aboard a boat. Boats
don't have that much cubic so something had to go. Actually about
everything had to go, though some of it (like an almost perfect G-133)
was stolen.

So, community spirited person I am, have I got a deal for you. If it
was designed by, made by, made for, written by, or written about
Aircraft Radio Corporation, or worked with or used in conjunction with
any of the above, box it up and ship it to me. I'll even pay the
shipping, I'm such a nice guy. Such a deal you'll never see again!
Ask Larry. He's been sending me boxes of A.R.C. toys for months.

Seriously, as you all probably know, I'm working on a new book about
Aircraft Radio Corporation, one that is a lot more in depth on the
tables than the original (as well as fixing a few errors) plus will
include a history of the company in delightful detail and a few other
things. This is the same book (or close enough for government work)
that a few others wanted to write but are impeded by actually having
real lives. Since I don't have this problem and have no immediate
plans to change this, largely because I'm clueless about what that
actually means, I have all the time I need to do the research, writing
and other attendant chores.

This is where all the goodies come in. I'm setting up a few displays
and some on-air rigs in conjunction with the book and, of course, for
the personal pleasure of doing so. The former include but aren't
limited to a Type 11, an ARC-60 and the system controlled by an A.R.C.
C-40 control box. (Pay no attention to what the original book says; I
have no clue where that came from.) For the latter, I would like a
Command Set rig (can be mixed series), an RU/GF rig and an
SCR-*-183/283 rig. And finally, I'd like a complete ARN-59 and a
BC-453/R-23/46129 receiver for beacon reception. Everything else is
gravy ... and I love gravy.

Of course your donations aren't tax deductable but ...well, look at it
as helping a disabled vet through rehab. <G>

BEst regards,

Michael, K3MXO/KH6 ... donning his flak jacket and waiting for the incoming. <G>
