Hi All,
I'm planning to build a 24V power supply into a gutted ATR case ( I
did not do the gutting and looks like it was surplus material off the
assembly line) with mount so that it looks "mil-ish" and "aircrafty"
when done constructing.I have three 24V open frame supplies that will
fit in the case. Two are PowerMate rated at 3.8 A and one is PowerOne
rated at 3.6A.The two types look very similar and are the same size.I
plan to parrallel them and maybe add a fan as the case is well louvered
allowing plenty of airflow.
My question is: Will I have a problem with "current hogging" if I just
wire the supplies directly in parrallel or should I put a small value
resistor in series with each supply, say .1 ohm to help equalize the
current distribution to the three supplies? Or will the wire
resistance suffice?
Thanks for your advise in advance,
Jay
