Ps to last message.I have some mil equipment cooling blowers that drive 
me out of the house!I think these came out of Viet Nam era helicopters 
where noise probably was not an issue.They are labeled 
HD-15/U,27.5V.Probably used in other aircraft as well.
I thought they might add some background "ambiance"!

Geeez! I thought you guys loved all the rotating electrical machine 
noise! My DY-17 must sound like a pussy cat compared to a "sceaming 
Mimi"! AN/ARC-5 dynamotors are down in the noise floor!

Unfortunately, it's a function of the centrifugal blower in the end of 
the inverter. It resembles the business end of a siren. Very efficient 
at moving air, but also efficient at creating an amazing level of 
acoustic irritation....
